Week 7 & 8 - Who would have thought....

That we could fit so much into 2 weeks! Our blog felt the wrath of report writing time and had to take a back seat....life in class however continued as normal and Rm 3 has had a couple of busy weeks. Last week we had the wonderful Mr Mahupuku come in and share his bowling knowledge with us. The children remembered many techniques from last year and in a tight girls vs boys competition the girls fought it out to win 1 up, great fun and a huge thank you to Mr Mahupuku for giving up his time.

With bread as our focus last week one of the things we considered were changes to bread, and ways we use it. As a part of this we made our own sandwiches. There is nothing like making your own food, makes it tastier somehow, lots of comments like "wow this is so delicious" and "this is my favourite food ever"....so the lunch maker in your house can take a break and the Rm 3 sandwich maker will step in!

This week is Matariki and the children have been working on a special project with Miss Playle. More to come on that later...today we started thinking about our food festival and made fruit kebabs with chocolate dip. This afternoon we caught imaginitis (a condition that will hopefully never heal!!) and made our own kebabs with some interesting additions.....dogs, cats, bay blades and bananas to name a few. A newsletter went home today about the Food Festival, please check your child's bag and see if you can help us...
