Week 6

Thank you to all the parents that attended the Rm3 assembly, it was fantastic to see the children so well supported. What an incredible job they all did, reading and speaking their parts. I was thrilled that all the children made it up on stage. Thanks also to the experience and expert guidance from Miss Playle and Mr Hill, and the on the spot technical support from Miss Sutherland. All contributed to the great sense of pride and achievement the children expressed following assembly!

This week was a great celebration of books and the kids really enjoyed visiting other classroom teachers to share stories and participate in book-based activities. Lunchtimes provided surprise guests to share their knowledge and story-telling sessions. No doubt the excitement of Friday's hat parade started at home, the hats were just amazing and some hard work, imagination and collaboration went into them. Well done to those who were awarded prizes for hats and bookmarks.

This week we welcomed Stevee to our class, you should be very proud of your wonderful children who made sure that Stevee was included and welcomed from the get go. Please introduce yourself to Stevee and her family if you get the chance...

Take a look at the Rm3 authors hard at work creating their own books following the reading of The Boring Book that they read with Mrs Kelly...

We had our first rippa rugby session with Doug on Thursday, lots of fast running and some future All Blacks and Black Ferns at play!!

And finally for this week some of our amazing hat creations. Looking forward to a busy week 7, wow the Term is flying by......
