Busy busy times

What a successful week of swimming we had last week. There were many tired children by the end of the week but boy did they have a blast! Thank you to those parents that were able to pop down to the pools to catch some of the action. It was brilliant to see all the children showing such confidence and enthusiasm in the water, trying out their newly aquired skills during their free swim. Remember our amazing swim carnival is on this Friday, followed by lunch in the park should the weather allow. Don't forget to top up your swimmers lunchbox as a morning in the water makes for hungry children.

This weeks snippets show learners at their library visit and engaged in cooperative play getting to know our IPad apps. One of our most popular free play activities is dress ups, a huge thank you for the generous donations of police and super hero costumes they have gone down a treat. Finally some shots of making our boxes about me which is part of our focus on change-growing up and now hang from our classroom ceiling.

Our first week

Wow what a busy week we have had getting to know one another and establishing our Room 3 ways of doing and being. We have been starting to think about things like what great learning looks like, and what we and others need to do to make our Room a safe and awesome place to learn. Some new concepts like a class vote to decide on the direction of learning or next steps has been received with great excitement. A huge thank you for the amazing bags about me that made their way back to class. It has been a highlight of each day to listen and ask questions of those sharing. We also talked about what we learnt about that person that we didn't know before. It has been tricky sticking to 2mins with such great oral descriptions going on. We are continuing eith these this week and will begin our news days following....see you all at the duathlon and sharing evening. Don't forget to support our fundraiser for the junior trip and share a sausage and a juicie....below is a snippet of our week
