Term 2, Week 1

It was awesome to have Sharon back this week, she worked with us on ball control and tackling. We had to focus really hard but we loved the games we played that let us try out our new skills.

This week we were learning all about the history of ANZAC and why this is an important event for New Zealand. We read a different story about ANZAC every day and even watched a short documentary. This helped us in our writing and activities about ANZAC as we worked in small groups and by ourselves. We loved making ANZAC biscuits on Friday with Miss Playle, it was a yummy way to finish the week!
Making poppies and debating the best way to achieve it...
Working on our trench backgrounds for next week
Getting our ANZAC characters finished, there were soldiers, nurses, horses and dogs.

Checking our writing with our study buddy, we loved to share our writing .

Before school this week Bryn shared his bubbles with Rm 3 and other Students. Mrs Sala just had to capture the excitement and collaboration of Rm 3 students. She was very proud of how we all co-operated and talked together.

MacKay found some amazing wood patterns in a log that he thinks had been left by a wood worm. We really appreciate how MacKay keeps on bringing in the incredible things he finds when he is out and about with his family. We have added this treasure to our science table along with the huge bone last term, thanks MacKay!
