Our busy week

This week was a bit like the story of The Hungry Caterpillar....on Monday we stayed at home, on Tuesday we made  ginger beer in Rm 1 with Mrs Kelly, on Wednesday we made sherbet in Rm 2 with Miss Devonport and on Thursday we had a spelling test, a bit of maths, one "gr" brainstorm, a set of instructions, a whole lot of reading and a short game of fruit salad. We ended the day with whole school singing which made us feel much better!

The Tui's (Owen, Ryan, Emma, Hannah and Abigail) were very proud of the independent work they did in their follow up work after reading "Different Things We Get From Plants". They showed amazing teamwork and collaborative skills as every learner had an opportunity to contribute their writing skills and ideas. Way to go Tui's!

Rm 3 has also been lucky to have Susan from Rtlb visit and guide us through Circle Time activities. This programme provides learning experiences that allow the children to explore their own and others thoughts and feelings about ways to care for others in our class and school. The children really enjoy the fun games and discussion starters that Susan has introduced. Here they are playing sock wrestling, the laughter and squeals were heard throughout the school...
